1 Introduction to Music Theory: rhythm

A very practical way to learn how to count different rhythms is by using different syllables for dif+ferent note values. We will discuss here three different lengths.

The longest one we will call 'TA'. We can divide a 'TA' into two 'TI's, which we again can divide into 'TIFI'.

We give here three examples:

It often works very will if you call the note value of the lower number in the time indicator 'TI', which is what we have done in above examples.
